Hey there…

As part of Medium’s upcoming virtual conference, aka “Medium Day,” I will be hosting a free workshop teaching improvisation as a skill to enhance mindfulness, self-compassion, adaptability, and resilience. I would love to see you there!

The workshop is titled “ZEN-PROV!: Using Improv to Find Zen and Cope with Life’s Challenges,” and you can find it on the schedule once you sign up for Medium Day. It will take place at 4:00–4:30pm EST.

I will also be hosting another session on how to have difficult conversations. This one is titled “How to Have Difficult Conversations: Skills for Managing Conflict and Disagreement” and will take place at 5:00–5:30pm PST.

Here’s what you can expect to learn in “ZEN-PROV!”*:

  1. How to be more present through improv inspired activities.
  2. How to work with our inner critic and build more confidence.
  3. How to be flexible and adapt to change and uncertainty.

*Most of the time in this workshop will be experiential, meaning we’ll spend the bulk of the session playing improv games together!

And here’s what you can expect to learn in “How to Have Difficult Conversations”:

1. How to be an active listener.

2. How to build a sense of trust and safety.

3. What to do when you disagree.

4. How to share your opinion confidently and kindly.

Come with questions or situations you’re struggling with : )

Hope to see you soon.

-Matt
